Professional Experience
Ed Barr has written professionally for over 25 years in various marketing and management positions. He has also served as a marketing and fund development consultant to for-profit and non-profit organizations such as Nextel, the Byzantine Catholic Seminary and Renewal, Inc. Previous employment includes:
Vice President of Marketing, Allegheny University Medical Practices -West
AUMP-West is a group of 260 physicians in over 80 offices in southwestern Pennsylvania.
Director of Corporate Communications, Pittsburgh Mercy Health System
- Managed a staff of fifteen professionals in news media relations, graphic design, print production, medical media, special events and community relations.
- Managed the organization's $2 million advertising program and the activities of its advertising and design and PR agencies.
