DC Alumni are the IOF Champions for a Second Year!
Heinz College alumni in DC again this year are the winners of the Network Nights IOF Challenge between Pittsburgh and DC. This is the second year for the challenge, and DC won last year as well. DC alumni can revel in the victory, knowing they helped Heinz students have the resources to accept an unpaid or low paid summer internship.
A Tradition of Excellence
For Christopher Henderson (MSPPM-DC ’11), Heinz College was a top choice for graduate school. But it was more than Heinz’s reputation of unique programming, interdisciplinary opportunities and quantitative approaches that set it apart from other graduate programs.
The Pulse of Pittsburgh
Making the decision to shift from the workforce back to full time graduate studies wasn’t easy, but Christina knew that a master’s degree would make her a candidate for more challenging jobs. Thanks to the generosity of the Class of 1974 W.W. Cooper Scholarship, Christina felt more secure in her move to Heinz College.
Making a Social Impact: Only in Pittsburgh
If you’ve lived in or visited Pittsburgh, you know about the places, sights and local flavor that are unique to one of America’s most livable cities. As a Pittsburgh native, Heinz College Master of Science in Public Policy and Management student Brett Wiewiora knows Pittsburgh is one of a kind – a blessing that brings some unique challenges as well.
