Heinz Alum Recently Appointed Chair of Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue

Sohail Ahmad, a 1987 graduate of the Master of Public Management program at Carnegie Mellon's H. John Heinz III College, was recently appointed chairman of Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Prior to the appointment, Ahmad served as secretary of planning and development; secretary of health; and secretary of finance for Pakistan's Punjab province. He also served as chairman of Punjab's planning and development board. Ahmad was selected to become chairman of the FBR in view of his distinguished public service career.
Ahmad holds a Master’s in English literature from Punjab University, and he taught at Gordon College, Rawalpindi before joining Pakistan's Civil Services.
