HCPM Information Technology and Operations Track

Students who decide to enroll in the information technology and operations track are interested in jobs that allow them to apply knowledge of health policy to IT solutions. Nearly all healthcare organizations have management teams and IT teams. Over the years these teams in some instances have developed in silos. Students involved in this track will be trained to be the Rosetta Stone between healthcare management and healthcare IT teams. They will be fluent enough in the languages of both of these groups to serve as a bridge between them.

Examples of employers interested in students with this type of a focus include:

  • Cerner
  • EPIC
  • McKesson
  • Eclipsys

Students are required to choose 36 units of track courses.
