Alumni Association Board Nomination and Election Process

• In the spring semester of even-numbered years, the Heinz College Alumni Association Board (HCAAB) solicits nominations from alumni.
• Heinz College alumni may submit up to six (6) candidates, briefly indicating why each is a strong candidate for the HCAAB.
• Note: the HCAAB seeks candidates with a demonstrated track record of the following:
  • Hands-on experience successfully executing projects.
  • Skills in representing and advocating for alumni.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Pride in Heinz College as reflected in contributions such as attendance at alumni events, financial contributions, participation in the mentor program, etc.
• The HCAAB Nominating Committe will review all nominations received and contact the potential candidates regarding their willingness to serve.
• The HCAAB Nominating Committee will recommend to the full HCAAB the names of up to twelve (12) candidates for election by a simple majority of the Board. To the extent possible, the slate of candidates shall be representative of the various degree programs offered by Heinz College and of various geographic locations.
• The HCAAB will elect nominees to become Board members.
