Description

What do we mean when we say "public policy?"  Where is it formulated? How is it executed?  Who does this and how can I play a role?  This course explores the many different perspectives on the development and execution of public policy.  Through a series of guest presenters, we will look at policy making at the local, state and federal levels from practitioners.  We will also look at the role of policy making from a researcher perspective with Heinz College professors presenting their work and the tools they use to inform public policy development and evaluation.  Finally, we will learn about the many possible paths participate in the world of public policy.
