Lakshmi Iyengar

Lakshmi Iyengar is an Executive at Wieden+Kennedy, overseeing Film and Television Entertainment for the Agency and Branded Clients.
Lakshmi began her career in 2009 in Film Acquisitions tracking projects, attending film festivals, and acquiring films for Universal Pictures International, Universal Pictures, and Focus Features. Following her time with Focus, she became the Vice President of Worldwide Acquisitions for Sony Pictures Entertainment. In 2021, she joined Dev Patel’s Minor Realm, overseeing development as the Executive Vice President of production and development, and in 2023, she moved over to CAA as an Agent in the Media Finance division, where she structured and packaged Independent feature films.
Born in Sherman Oaks, California, Lakshmi’s background is deeply rooted in the arts and live performance. She has worked for the Los Angeles Opera and is the Co-Artistic Director for the Rangoli Dance Company. She also serves on the board of the Dance Resource Center of Los Angeles and is an adjunct faculty member for Carnegie Mellon’s Master in Entertainment Industry Management program. Lakshmi has a BA in Theater with a Minor in Italian from UCLA, and a Master's degree in Entertainment Industry Management from Carnegie Mellon University. She additionally studied abroad in Bologna, Italy, and worked for the Cineteca di Bologna.
