The next generation of entertainment leaders—in the music industry, game studios, agencies, live events, and movie and television production—will use technology and data analytics to make smarter decisions. Heinz College prepares you for this field by immersing you in the entertainment industry with the dual-city Master of Entertainment Industry Management (MEIM) program.
Combining the renowned creative power of CMU’s College of Fine Arts with the management and quantitative expertise of Heinz College, the program readies you to have an impact on development, marketing, production, distribution, and strategy at all levels across a global entertainment marketplace.
As an Entertainment Industry Management student, you will spend your first year taking core technology, analytical, and leadership classes at CMU’s main campus in Pittsburgh and gaining exposure to the industry, including a networking weekend in New York City. You’ll then spend your entire second year in Los Angeles, completing your studies while gaining access and experience working a full-time internship in the film, TV, gaming, or music industries.
